family outing ❣️🍀✨
begging people to understand that there's a difference between getting into handicrafts as a hobby and being forced to engage in constant busywork for the sake of persistence. yes I'm sure you enjoy weaving. im not sure you'd enjoy it if it was all you did every day to keep a family of fourteen clothed while they work fields. and I'm sure they'd enjoy gardening in their free time too, but after a few years of ploughing stones under the sun, they'd probably also wish they could just buy stuff from a store. cottagecore fantasies aren't reality, and just because peasants had a better class position than you do doesn't mean their lives were better than yours are now.
I'll just be going about my day and my brain will be like "gear 5 soon" and I gotta stop and take a breath.

🌟 New
- We’ve renamed the “Include stuff in your orbit” dashboard setting to “Include posts liked by the blogs you follow”. It still controls the same behavior: whether or not you’ll see posts liked by blogs you follow in your Following feed. Also, reminder that you can hide your own likes from this feature in your blog settings.
- On web, on the mobile layout of the site, we’ve shuffled the order of the items in the navigation drawer slightly.
🛠 Fixed
- We fixed an issue with the activity graph on web that could cause your browser to cache an outdated copy of the data. Now your browser should refresh with the latest data every time you visit that page.
🚧 Ongoing
- Nothing to report here today.
🌱 Upcoming
- Starting tomorrow (July 19th), some of you will see a new navigation layout for the desktop website that we’re experimenting with.
Experiencing an issue? File a Support Request and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!

okay besties you need to say more than just "new navigation layout for desktop"
it's an experiment, so we can't say too much or else we could bias the results (more than even just announcing it could).
but i will say that i've had the new navigation for a couple of months now, using it every day, and i can't believe the website was any other way beforehand, it's so useful. looking forward to seeing the feedback we get about it!
okay now that thats out of my system, its not that fucking bad, i dont love it. i think that looking to twitter for UI inspo for a blogging platform isnt the move, BUT should this be a permanent layoit change heres what i would adjust to make it more good.
1 is easy, id move the sidebars to be on the side. having everything in the middle of my screen with large blank spots at the side is very cluttered, especially when the middle is bright/light in colour and the side isn't.
2 i'd squish the gap between the left sidebar and the middle/ make it slimmer. again the large gaps is confusing visualy.
3 make the top scroller into stationary buttons NOT scrolling buttons!!!!
Hellborne
This is what I hope a Hellboy of Yharnam would look like since I am such a huge fan och Hellboy and Bloodborne. The two universes share so much! From hunting beast, internal struggles with destiny and of course eldritch horrors and all that good stuff. I am beyond hyped for Hellboy and the Blood Queen as well as Bloodborne 2.
….WHOA.
on the announcement that Disney+ is removing a plethora of shows and films from its service, please read these tweets from Willow writer John Bickerstaff. this is not a tax writeoff like Batgirl, because these projects have already been released. this is a move designed to cut off financial support in the form of residuals, and break the spirit of the strike. here is the deadline article that lists the films/shows that will be removed.
as always, donate to the entertainment community fund, vocally support the WGA online and irl, or join a picket in a major US city if you can. let them know they can't keep getting away with things like this.

![A series of tweets by Twitter user @Bitterstaff (John Bickerstaff) from May 19, 2023. The first tweet links a Deadline.com article with the headline "Disney to remove dozens of series from Disney+ and Hulu" while Bickerstaff comments, "They gave us six months. Not even. This business has become absolutely cruel." His next tweet says, "Before you say tax write-off: these shows have already been released and so can't be a tax write-off. And in the case of Willow, they own the property outright. The only conclusion is that this is to get out of paying residuals. During a strike." His third tweet says, "And look, eternal streaming libraries are not sustainable. We're all going to have to adjust to that at some point. But to spend [REDACTED] on a show and then disappear it six months later is just bad business."](https://64.media.tumblr.com/7df9f38bb103e786b7072bfcef05895d/05e1dae71154f3c4-d6/s1280x1920/e8380867ca8e68f3f8afd994a8157916eaa79879.png)
